JOSE CANSECO HOMERUN DERBY CHALLENGE

Rules:
-Open to any and all players from little league to high school to college to adult league or anyone who could play back in the day and wants to see if they still got it!
-Must register to attend
-Can wear whatever you are comfortable in, athletic attire is suggested
-Must use a softball bat, any size is fine
-There will be shorter dimensions/fences for younger players to increase participation, 12 U will have one dimension, 13-17 will have one dimension and 18+ will have one dimension
-Pitches will be thrown by a machine
-No time limits
Homerun Derby Set Up:
Round 1:
-Each participant will get 10 strikes/swings
-A strike/swing can be a called strike, swing and miss, foul ball, a ball in play or a homerun
-Top 10 homerun totals will advance to round 2
Round 2:
-Each participant will get 8 swings
-Can take strikes and not be held against you
-A swing can be a swing and miss, foul ball, a ball in play or a homerun
-Top 4 homerun totals will advance to round 3
Round 3:
-Head-to-head round
-Each participant will get 8 swings
-Can take strikes and not be held against you
-A swing can be a swing and miss, foul ball, a ball in play or a homerun
-Player #4 vs. Player #1
-Player #3 vs. Player #2
-Two winners advance to round 4
Round 4:
-Two winners square off
-Each participant will get 8 swings
-Can take strikes and not be held against you
-A swing can be a swing and miss, foul ball, a ball in play or a homerun
-Winner of round 4 will advance to championship round
Round 5- Championship
-Winner from round 4 vs. Jose Canseco
-Hit as many homeruns as you can in three (3) minutes
General Information:
-All participants will receive the opportunity to hit on the field to compete against Jose in the championship and receive a picture and autograph from Jose at the event
-Stadium will be open for spectators and people who wish to be a part of the fun, but not participate in the derby. We want to fill the stadium!
-Concessions will be open for the entire event
-Music and games will be happening throughout the day
-Jose will be available at a designated time for fans to get autographs and pictures in the stands
-This is a rain or shine event!
